Welcome to Nicaragua Vacations. We specialize in one of the most fascinating countries in the Western Hemisphere, Nicaragua. This beautiful land has been battered and bruised and much maligned throughout the 20th century, but now, well into the new millennium, Nicaragua finds itself standing on the brink of something extremely special. My name is James Dyde and I have been living in Central America since 2001 (I’m the bald one on the left in the above photo, showing me and a friend enjoying some of Nicaragua’s finest hospitality). I have worked in tourism for most of this time, putting together wonderful vacations for many hundreds of clients in both Costa Rica and Panama. Over the years, I have developed a deep, lasting love for Nicaragua and its people, and have always wanted to offer my clients this unique destination, convinced that those looking for a different vacation will find it in this special country. This website is the result of that desire, and I know that we can help you plan a trip to Nicaragua that will be guaranteed to shake off any preconceptions and leave you with your own deep, lasting love.

Nicaragua Vacations is a division of our parent company, Costa Rican Vacations, founded in 1999 by Tony Silva and Casey Halloran. After identifying the need for a high-end, online travel agency, catering exclusively to North Americans and Europeans looking for a luxury trip to Costa Rica, the company they founded is now Costa Rica’s biggest online agency. Following on from that, Panama Vacations was founded to cater for travelers to Panama, and now we introduce Nicaragua Vacations! Costa Rican Vacations has actually been working since 2006 with a couple of hotels in Nicaragua, but since then, Tony and Casey asked me to set up a more permanent presence in the country. We will provide you with an expert vacation planning service in Nicaragua, which will be backed up through our in-country Client Service Department, based in the cities of Leon and Granada, who will be on hand to help with anything you might need during your vacation. We are aware that Nicaragua is an unknown, “off the beaten track” destination, and as such, our pledge to you is to truly ensure that you’re not alone in Nicaragua and to provide you a wonderful, memorable and worry-free vacation in this wonderful country.
